At Athle2, your health and training data is personal. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
Account & Profile Data
When you create an Athle2 account, we collect your name, email address, and any profile information you choose to provide such as age, weight, and fitness goals.
Training & Activity Data
We collect information about your workouts, training sessions, session completion, performance metrics, and any notes you or your coach add to your training plan.
Nutrition Data
If you use our nutrition tracking feature, we collect meal logs, estimated macro and calorie data, and dietary preferences you enter into the app.
Device & Wearable Data
If you connect a Garmin device or other supported wearable, we receive performance and health data such as heart rate, steps, sleep, and activity history to inform your training plan.
Community Data
Participation in training rooms and leaderboards generates data such as compliance scores, activity rankings, and interaction history within your organization.
Usage Data
We automatically collect technical information including your IP address, device type, operating system, browser, and how you interact with our app and website.
2. How We Use Your Information
Providing the Service
Your data is used to generate and adapt your training plans, track nutrition, match you with training partners, and power all core features of Athle2.
AI-Powered Features
We use your training, nutrition, and wearable data to power AI features including plan generation, session rescheduling, and performance insights. This processing happens on your behalf to improve your training outcomes.
Coach Visibility
If you are connected to a coach on Athle2, your training activity, nutrition logs, and performance data are visible to that coach. This is a core part of the coach-athlete relationship in the app.
Communication
We may use your email to send service updates, training reminders, and product announcements. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
Improvement & Research
Aggregated and anonymized data may be used to improve our AI models, product features, and user experience. We do not use individually identifiable health data for research without explicit consent.
3. Data Sharing
We Do Not Sell Your Data
Athle2 does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
Coaches
Coaches you connect with on the platform can view your training activity, compliance, nutrition data, and performance metrics as part of the coaching relationship.
Community Features
Leaderboards and training rooms display limited data (such as compliance scores and activity stats) to other members of your organization. You can adjust your visibility settings in the app.
Service Providers
We share data with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate Athle2, such as cloud hosting, analytics, and payment processors. These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Athle2, our users, or the public.
4. Data Retention & Deletion
Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Training and nutrition history is kept to allow you to track long-term progress.
Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at privacy@athle2.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
5. Your Rights
Access & Portability
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to receive a copy in a portable format.
Correction
You can update or correct inaccurate personal data through your account settings or by contacting us.
Opt-Out
You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by updating your notification preferences in the app.
GDPR & CCPA
If you are located in the European Economic Area or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to processing, restrict processing, or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Third-Party Integrations
Garmin
When you connect your Garmin account, we receive data under Garmin's authorization framework. You can revoke access at any time through your Garmin account settings or within Athle2.
Other Integrations
Any other third-party service you connect to Athle2 is governed by that service's own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their terms.
8. Children's Privacy
Athle2 is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
